One of the little pleasantries of life during the Japanese wintertime is the vending machines that sell hot drinks. Among the green teas and coffees you can find canned corn soup, which provide hot, sweet nourishment to people on the go.
This is how I got my corn in last night, in between a craft beer/kushiyaki bar and a karaoke booth.
Super salty, weirdly thick, and with oddly crunchy kernels of corn (firming agent?), this was not as good as I remembered. Even so, I’m glad it exists.
